Fundació Centre de Regulació Genòmica (CRG)

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is a non-profit foundation affiliated with the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). It is a first-class multidisciplinary research centre with a total of 30 group leaders, of which half hold an ERC grant. Research is organised around 4 programmes: Systems Biology, Bioinformatics and Genomics, Gene regulation, Stem Cells and Cancer and Cell and Developmental Biology. Since July 2015, the National Centre for Genome Analysis (CNAG-CRG) is integrated into the CRG, representing one of the major Genome Sequencing centres in Europe. Regarding Gender Equality, the CRG is the coordinator of the H2020 project LIBRA, promoting gender equality in research and innovation. Already since 2013 CRG established the Gender Balance Committee, which is very active since that time and which is currently implementing the Gender Equality Plan to achieve institutional changes. Furthermore, a “Women in Science Support Grant” and mentoring programme for Postdocs have been launched and are running already in the fourth and second edition, respectively.
