We are pleased to announce that our April meeting, webinar and virtual get-together, will take place on Tuesday, April 13th from 9.30 to 11.00 am CET.
Following our March meeting on Gender Equality Plans, we will dedicate the 9th meeting on the topic of Gender Based Violence, with a focus on Research, Higher Education and Academia. This is a delicate and sensitive topic and issue that has yet to be sufficiently addressed and recognized. The panel features two presenters and two presentations: one will focus on a case-study coming from France, the seond one will allow participants to familiarize themselves with an EU funded initative that has set as a goal tackling the challenge, featuring a cross-border approach.
Dr. Anne-Laure Humbert, community of practice member and faculty member at Oxford Brookes University will join us with a presentation entitled: "Overview of the UniSAFE project: Making universities and research organisations safe from gender-based violence". The presentation will provide an overview of the recently funded EU project Uni-SAFE (https://unisafe-gbv.eu/) "Gender-based violence and institutional responses: Building a knowledge base and operational tools to make universities and research organisations safe".
Following this presentation Chloé Mour will present an overview of the main findings of her Master of Science research. The thesis focused on "The implementation of the national sexual violence policy within Higher Education and Research institutions in France". A case-study alongside methodological and deontological concerns will be discussed and shared with the Community of Practice members.
