GRANteD Stakeholder Conference

We invite research funders, gender experts, researchers, policy makers and all people interested in a fair research funding system to come together, exchange experiences and to have open discussions about challenges and limitations of decision making in grant allocation.

Aim of the Conference
The aim of the first GRANteD conference is to establish a forum to exchange knowledge and experiences in respect to policies and practices promoting fairness and gender equality in research funding. Therefore, we want to engage the community of research funders and gender equality experts in Europe and stimulate their involvement in our research activities.

To allocate grants, the peer review system is widely used form, yet it has been critizised for various limitations, gender (un-) fairness being one it them. The conference will tackle current issues of gender (in)equality in research funding and peer review processes and will further take on the discussion on new and existing measures that contribute to a fair research funding and peer review system.
