Lesley Wilson is Secretary General of the European University Association (EUA) since 2002. Prior to joining the EUA she held a number of senior positions in higher education and research management at European and international organisations, in particular at the European Commission, where she was Director of Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation at the European Training Foundation in Turin (1999-2001), and UNESCO where she was Director of the European Centre for Higher Education, based in Bucharest, from 1995 - 1999. She was also Head of the newly established Science Policy Unit at the European Science Foundation in Strasbourg (1994/1995) and Director of the EC TEMPUS Office in Brussels from 1990 to 1994.
