Notus is a non-profit association dedicated to applied social research. It was established in 2013 by senior experts with longstanding expertise in the fields of work, employment and industrial relations, local sustainable development, vocational education and training, labour and social policies -with a focus on gender and social equity. Notus mission is to develop applied social research at the local, regional, Spanish and international levels whilst providing support for key public and private actors (economic and social) involved in socially responsible and sustainable growth, with an interdisciplinary approach based on innovative methodologies to solve practical problems, add value to existing processes and create a comparative picture in Europe and beyond.
Notus has framework contracts with a wide range of bodies, including the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), the European and the European Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and is coordinating various studies for EUROFOUND as well as the European Commission.
